Half the reason, why you left is to feel the warmth of lips, good bye kiss. Step by step, the ground grew beneath our weathered hearts. Your backs turned. Autonomy learned. Come Back Home You got hurt. Shut your eyes a breathed the cold air deep. Wrong words I speak. You stomped across the wood floor, grabbed your scarf and coat. You headed for the door. Hand bag held possessions. Sing hard learned lessons. Come back home Long is the road upon which you walk. This is the way back to me. Don't stop. Pick up the phone, open your heart, let's talk. This is the way back to me. Don't stop. I said, get in the car, head for home, restart your life. This is the way away from the fight. This is the way to truth and life. This is the way back to me, my wife.

I am afraid of growing old, and what I've been told, about the dying in each day. I long to return to the summers of 11th grade, diving into lakes, careless, headfirst. Teach me to see beauty again. Take this lost love, find her a home. It's like an hour glass out of reach. It's like a promise you couldn't keep. It's like a mystery revealed, but whispered so you couldn't hear. I'm starting to grow suspicious of the powers that be. Are we alone, or is God asleep. Teach me to see beauty again. Take this lost love, find her a home. Where have all my friends gone. Did they die or just get lost. They slipped away so fast. I never got the chance to find the hidden rose. Put it the crystal glass, fill it with the spring rain, set it on your grave. I will spend every single day starring at the Sun shinning through glass, casting every single color. I am made new. Teach me to see beauty again. Take this lost love, find her a home.

A knife to your throat, wicked and alone. Pressing silent sound, Hidden white gown. You're sitting next to me. I can clearly see the absence in your eyes. The fire dies. Come back to me now. Sickness and in health. Come back to me now. We might not pull through. The Devil, your fever, the Angel, his clean wing. You're sickness, my secrets, the past, our promise I am breaking down. Breathing heavy now. Tempest of my doubt. Light is thinning out. Crushing weight of grief. All my disbelief. Take my hand.
4.
I'm scared; I'm scared nobody cares about a wretch like me. It's like a flying blindside comes landing on your lips. You were expecting a soft sweet gentle kiss, but instead, here comes a bare-knuckle fist. I'm scared; I'm scared secrets you'll see. Drop me, then head for the door. I'm scared; I'm scared my love it aint right. I'm broke and all my sight is on myself. In my arms you'll find your peace.

Slow summer day. Clean forest air. The river shimmers. Your golden hair. You hold me close. Sweet sunshine glow. Stretch out your hand. Take our photo. I feel so clean. I feel so seen. A ringing bell inside of me. Hush, rush whisper, shake, shift, and lift a quiet prayer. Captured moment. The whistle blows, the pedals unfold, our love story, the morning glory. Lets go down to the river where the waters washing. Lets clime up to the peak. The mist flies by, fills the valley. I fly right with it. There's a glow in all I see. There's a glow in you and me. Our hearts filled to the brim and overflown.

A Sad Bird 04:49
You don't have to be strong for long. Soon you'll be in the arms of another. Sad bird, broke wing, no song to sing. Breathe breath of life. Turn snow to spring. You don't have to be strong for long. Soon you'll be in the arms of another. I can't stop this merry-go-round. The swell and the sound. I am sick, I want to go home. My nest has blown away. You don't have to be strong for long. Soon you'll be in the arms of another. I hide inside hollow tree trunks. Afraid, alone, I fade away. You don't have to be strong for long. Soon you'll be in the arms of another. I hear a song rise. The bears wake up and the bees begin to buzz again. A mountain meadow blossoms now. The pines clap and dance as I take flight. The Sun begins to rise, flooding rays of orange. As do I upon a mountain breeze. Dart between the trees and watch the glow surround. In the heavens I am free. You don't have to be strong for long. Soon you'll be in the arms of another.

A Car Crash 04:20
Another broken year has past me by. This one ended with a car crash. I cannot catch my breath left alone. I need to find some rest. I come with both eyes shut. I come with moth hands cupped under a waterfall of light. I'll breathe in calming breath. Another bitter dialogue with God. My voice is sounding desperate. Make me tender make me sweet within. My heart is caving in. I come with both eyes shut. I come with moth hands cupped under a waterfall of light. I'll breathe in calming breath. Just speak your heart to me and listen for the whisper. Just lay down all your pride. You don't know the answer. The Angel and the sword. The liar and his secret. The price that you must pay. The man of constant sorrow. I hear the sound, I hear the sound, I feel the shake. But I am here with you. Just listen for the whisper. I come with both eyes shut. I come with moth hands cupped under a waterfall of light. I'll breathe in calming breath.

Broken beauty, darkness, shatter shadows light. Feels full, feels lost, in all inside below burns bright. Right, wrong, belongs between each and every bone. Something is amiss. Life lifeless. A blessing and a curse. A Child in a hearse. The laughter of the old. A beggars bread molds. Where do I stand upon the sea. Come now save me. I've turned into the coldest creature. Come now save me. From the sinking black shiver. Find me; free me from the wickedness inside my heart. Find me; free me from the heart ache that holds my heart. My journal needs new ink. My mind a way to think. My canvas needs painting. The heart, much saving. Where do I stand upon the sea? My God, my God why have you forsaken me? Where do I stand upon the sea? I am a fool. You stand beside me.

What's with my pride? I would rather die then ask for the help I need. What is wrong with me? Feel each crack in the bones in my back. I try to carry the weight. Stress, fear, and secrets shone. I break down. Carry me above the storm. Cover me with blankets soft and warm. Surround me with power of your song. Lift me up. Let me sing. Starts so weak. And then it comes down. The Spirit in the sound. The feeling of the found. Carry me above the storm. Cover me with blankets soft and warm. Surround me with power of your song. Lift me up. Let me sing.

A New Dawn 04:56
I need it. I see it. I feel it warm, bright, a new days light. I need it. Breathe it in. Take my hand. Hold tight as we walk through the night. We're coming close. Soft light growing strong. A new dawn. I need it. I see it. I feel it warm, bright, a new days light. I need it. Breathe it in. Singing bird without care, recognition or permission. Flowers give fragrance free to all. Breathe it in. I need it. I see it. I feel it warm, bright, a new days light. I need it. Breathe it in.
